Firecrackers or Duds?
We need to be the light of the world , the salt of the earth.
If Jesus was speaking today, He might tell us to be the "firecrackers" of this planet.
The other day I was blessed to hear Alesia Adams speak on prostitution and the sex trafficking business. For the Pimps and the businessmen who rent out facilities and run strip clubs and adult book stores this is a multi -BILLION dollar deal!
For the 300,000 girls in the USA, this is SLAVERY!
The average age of a prositute in slavery is 13.
Where are the Christians who will fight this slavery?
How do pimps get these girls?
1. They hang around your malls-looking to entice young girls. They buy girls hair cuts and manicures and tell them they are beautiful. They promise them record contracts and glamour. The girls go with these pimps- calling them daddy. Do not let your children go to the mall alone! (Watch movie "Taken"- for a reality check)
2. Of the 1.7 Million runaways, 39,000 become sexually exploited. They are desperate and need shelter and food. In Atlanta, the Bus stop is right across from a strip club, and under each strip club is a prostitution ring.
3. In disasters like Katrina, confusion leaves little girls all alone, and they are stolen into the night. How many were really just kidnapped into slavery?
Once in the hands of pimps, these girls are BEATEN into slavery. If they do not make their nightly quota, even one dollar from it, they are beaten. They can not come home until they have made their money. The girls see none of this money- Slaves- they are paid nothing.
What can you and I do to end this slavery?
1. Get involved on the streets offering food,shelter and love to these runaways before they are snatched by the pimps.
2. Open your home as a "Safe House" where girls can escape this slavery and find love and safety.
3. Talk to your representatives in government. Pimps should be put away for life as slaveowners! Men who rent the sex organs of a woman should be charged with a felony, and not just told to go home to their wives and children. Girls who are slaves should not be charged as criminals- they should be taken to Freedom centers.
(The Salvation Army Shield COULD be the new symbol for safety for these girls. We recently had a young woman escape slavery and come to our building- seeing the shield she sensed it was a place of safety)
4. Go out and pray in front of Adult bookstores and Strip clubs in your area.
5. Parents need to say NO to Prevocative dances and cheerleading routines to sexual songs like "Santa is a ho", and songs by Snoop dog. Look closely how the media is luring our children to prostitute clothing, and hairstyles- The BRAT doll is finally off the market because people fought and won!
Girls are now proud of being sex symbols. What happened to women's lib movement- and women fighting against being a just a pretty face and body? How many girls are owned by the spirit of vanity and sex ?
It is time that we stop living for ourselves and being DUDS!
God needs you to be a firecracker for Him!
Don't let the world and it's enticements steal your passion.
Don't waste your life!
If you are just a dead man walking on this planet, it is time to wake up.

You can not blame your husband, wife, children, friends, finances for the way you spend your time.
You have a choice- Go out of your comfortable home and you will find the needy!
turn the TV off- turn the computer off- Get out and see real life. If you have a bus system, go ride it and see the need! Go to the toughest neighborhood in your town and just pray there one hour each day!
Then watch what God will do! and you will have real joy and not depression and deadness!
